Melissa Cosgrove Childrens Foundation

The MCCF, School Trends and Salon Services would like to invite schools to take part in their School Challenge Competition to create young social entrepreneurs and give your pupils a chance to see firsthand how we can all make the difference to the children we are helping in Thailand and Burma. MCCF is a partnership of people which is working to improve the lives of children in Asia. We provide accommodation, schooling, healthcare, clothing plus lots of fun, love and support for street children, child prostitutes, youngsters with HIV and AIDs, orphans and the children of migrant workers. You too can help give these children a future free of poverty and despair.

What do you have to do?

First register your interest with MCCF, email info@mccf.uk.com

This should be done by January 24th 2006.

  1. You will have to produce a business plan. This requires students using skills in accounting, marketing, communication, geography, English, self belief, diplomacy, plus social and personal skills. We all have gifts and talents, it's now time to unlock them. Also choose one of the three challenges on our website.
  2. Set up your business, make a profit, and make a difference. You can spend as much time as you like on your business there are many elements which are covered in the national curriculum - we are just taking it one step further.
  3. School Trends should have received all your business plans by May 1 2006.
  4. Schools will be notified of who has reached the final by May 15 2006.
  5. June 2006 two pupils and a teacher will visit Thailand and Burma for this trip of a lifetime and meet the children they have helped.

Flights sponsored by Salon Services.
